Deskside Administrator
We are looking for a skilled Deskside Administrator to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a contract position requiring hands-on expertise in providing technical support and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work onsite five days a week, operating independently to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Provide deskside support for desktop and laptop hardware, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.<br>• Utilize tools such as ServiceNow to manage and document support requests effectively.<br>• Maintain and manage Intune configurations to ensure smooth deployment and operation of devices.<br>• Address hardware break-fix needs, including repairs and replacements for computers and related peripherals.<br>• Collaborate with staff to provide technical assistance with Cisco and Citrix technologies.<br>• Support Android device configurations and resolve related issues as needed.<br>• Travel occasionally between locations, ensuring timely support; mileage reimbursement is provided.<br>• Adhere to safety protocols by wearing required safety shoes and glasses in designated areas.<br>• Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks without becoming overwhelmed.<br>• Conduct regular maintenance and updates on Dell and other hardware systems to optimize performance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in deskside support or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.<br>• Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware, as well as peripheral devices.<br>• Hands-on experience with Intune for device management and configuration.<br>• Familiarity with ServiceNow for tracking and managing support tickets.<br>• Strong knowledge of Cisco and Citrix technologies.<br>• Ability to support Android devices, including setup and troubleshooting.<br>• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel; parking is not provided.<br>• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
