Payroll Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Richmond, British Columbia, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations during year-end adjustments. With a focus on reconciling payroll data and preparing T4s, your expertise will support a smooth and compliant payroll process.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process payroll for approximately 500 employees, balancing hourly and salaried data.<br>• Reconcile T4s and ensure all year-end adjustments are completed accurately.<br>• Manage commission structures within payroll and address related complexities.<br>• Create and implement payroll templates to streamline operations.<br>• Utilize Excel for reconciliation tasks and ensure data accuracy.<br>• Collaborate with the team to gather necessary reports and information.<br>• Ensure compliance with payroll standards in British Columbia.<br>• Address employee inquiries related to payroll and year-end adjustments.<br>• Work with payroll software to input adjustments and verify data integrity.<br>• Support the team during year-end processes to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, including year-end adjustments.<br>• Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.<br>• Strong knowledge of T4 and T2200 preparation.<br>• Advanced Excel skills for payroll reconciliation and data management.<br>• Familiarity with commission structures and payroll complexities.<br>• Understanding of British Columbia's Employment Standards Act.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
