<p>Our client a well established Public Accounting Firm in the Peterborough area has a current opening for a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will contribute to a range of accounting engagements, including compilations, reviews, and audit assistance along with tax. This position offers meaningful exposure to diverse clients and industries, providing opportunities to enhance your expertise and advance your career.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Collaborate on compilation, review engagements, and audit processes to ensure thorough and precise outcomes.</p><p>• Prepare and file accurate personal and corporate tax returns in compliance with regulatory standards.</p><p>• Maintain adherence to accounting principles and tax guidelines while managing financial tasks.</p><p>• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline engagement processes and enhance efficiency.</p><p>• Communicate with clients and colleagues to address inquiries and provide clear financial insights.</p><p>• Reconcile accounts and balance sheets to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.</p><p>• Perform general ledger maintenance and journal entries to support financial reporting.</p><p>• Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.</p>

<ul><li>3 years of progressive Public Accounting experience primarily in the area of compilations and tax</li><li>CPA designation preferred or near completion of CPA requirements</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance</li><li>Proficiency with public accounting software</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Good communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.</li></ul><p><br></p>
