<p><strong>We are looking for an experienced Leasing Agent to join a client's organization in the Ottawa region. This is a full-time/permanent role on site. </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Details:</strong></p><p>-Competitive salary (60-65K)</p><p>-Full benefits</p><p>-3 weeks vacation</p><p>-Free parking</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote available rental units, including creating compelling property listings</p><p>• Screen potential tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying income to ensure compliance with housing regulations</p><p>• Coordinate and lead property tours for prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits of the units</p><p>• Draft, negotiate, and finalize lease agreements while ensuring all terms align with local regulations and landlord requirements</p><p>• Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate necessary repairs or improvements with maintenance teams or contractors</p><p>• Manage rent collection processes, including processing payments and addressing late payment issues in a timely manner</p><p>• Maintain compliance with housing laws and local codes by keeping accurate records and ensuring adherence to all regulations</p><p>• Provide property owners with regular updates on tenant activities, financial performance, and overall property conditions</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>• 3+ years of experience in property management or a leasing role.</p><p>• Proficiency in using property management software, such as Yardi Enterprise</p><p>• Strong understanding of tenant screening processes and fair housing regulations</p><p>• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build positive relationships with tenants and landlords</p><p>• Proven ability to manage multiple properties and prioritize tasks effectively</p><p>• Familiarity with property maintenance and repair coordination</p><p>• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills</p><p>• Experience in marketing rental units and conducting property showings</p><p>• Ability to work in a fast paced environment </p>
