Bilingual Marketing Communications Senior Manager
<p>Are you a bilingual (French/English) marketing and communications professional with a strategic mindset and polished communication skills? We are seeking a <strong>Senior Manager, Corporate Marketing & Communications</strong> for our client, a leading provider in the health benefits management industry. This role will oversee corporate marketing and communications programs to strengthen brand positioning, engage stakeholders, and establish the organization as a recognized thought leader in its sector. If you thrive in dynamic environments, can lead small teams, and are adept at both strategy and execution, this role might be the right fit for you.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>External Communications</strong></p><ul><li>Work with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to develop strategic marketing and communication programs.</li><li>Collaborate with Senior Leadership teams in Canada and the US to identify and drive initiatives positioning the company as an industry innovator.</li><li>Develop and execute strategies for digital and social media to enhance employee engagement, leadership messaging, and brand presence.</li><li>Lead the creation and implementation of marketing and communications strategies for advertising, branding, events, government relations, media relations, and public speaking opportunities.</li><li>Support and serve as a backup contact for Canadian media relations.</li><li>Oversee the departmental budget and produce monthly forecasts.</li></ul><p><strong>Marketing Communications & Programs</strong></p><ul><li>Manage corporate and brand communication efforts, including internal and external messaging.</li><li>Handle media and public relations activities, including content writing, presenting, creating speeches, and working with stakeholders.</li><li>Oversee corporate social media accounts and digital marketing strategies.</li><li>Manage website content, branding initiatives, and re-branding efforts.</li><li>Plan and execute strategies for in-person conferences and key events.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Applied Arts (or higher education).</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum <strong>7–8 years</strong> in Marketing Communications, with at least <strong>2 years of leadership experience</strong>.</li><li><strong>Bilingual:</strong> Proficient in English and French (written and spoken).</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with an articulate, polished presentation style.</li><li>Collaborative and independent, capable of taking ownership of tasks and delivering solutions proactively.</li><li>Comfortable working in a flat organizational structure and with small teams.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Drupal CMS, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.</li><li>Experience in healthcare or life sciences is an asset but not mandatory.</li><li>Background in government and public relations is a strong advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Non-Negotiables for the Role</strong></p><ul><li>Proven <strong>2 years of people management experience.</strong></li><li><strong>Bilingual:</strong> Fluency in English and French is required.</li><li>Hands-on experience with marketing communications strategy and media relations (content creation, presenting, stakeholder engagement).</li><li>On-site availability in <strong>Mississauga 2 days per week</strong>.</li><li>Adaptable, solutions-oriented professional who works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.</li></ul><p><strong>Ideal Soft Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong initiative and the ability to work independently while providing proactive solutions.</li><li>Corporate presence with the ability to engage stakeholders professionally.</li><li>Motivated and dynamic leader who can drive results in a collaborative way.</li><li>Clear and concise communicator (gets to the point).</li></ul><p><strong>Bonus Skills/Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or related fields.</li><li>Knowledge of Drupal CMS, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Adobe Creative Suite.</li><li>Familiarity with website re-branding and corporate social media management.</li></ul><p><br></p>
