<p>Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals. </p><p>Our Kanata client requires an Assistant Controller for a six-month contract. this role, you will support key financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with accounting standards.</p><p>The Assistant Controller’s duties will include: </p><p>·      Supervising a small operational accounting team</p><p>·      Reconciling and maintaining GL accounts, including inventory, deferred revenue, and FX</p><p>·      Manage period-end close processes and meet reporting deadlines</p><p>·      Preparing monthly financial reports accurately and on time</p><p>·      Preparing audit support documentation for annual financial audits</p><p>·      Support additional accounting duties as needed</p>

<p>The ideal candidate will have: </p><p>·      CPA designation required</p><p>·      A minimum of seven years of progressive accounting and finance experience </p><p>·      Strong experience with general accounting, intercompany accounting, and month-end close</p><p>·      Global sales tax experience a strong asset</p><p>·      Foreign currency accounting experience is an asset</p><p>·      Advanced Excel and accounting software skills</p><p>·      Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</p><p>·      Able to work both independently and collaboratively</p>
