We are looking for a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in enhancing geospatial data systems and ensuring the seamless integration of applications within a portal environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced GIS tools and contribute to the development of innovative web-based mapping solutions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Collaborate with geospatial specialists to design and refine GIS applications and web maps.<br>• Develop, modify, and maintain web applications using tools such as ArcGIS Portal and Experience Builder.<br>• Support the migration of existing applications into a unified portal environment, ensuring consistency and usability.<br>• Implement and maintain open data environments and web map services.<br>• Create dashboards and reports to analyze geospatial data effectively.<br>• Perform quality assurance on GIS data and applications to ensure accuracy and reliability.<br>• Conduct gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in geospatial workflows.<br>• Utilize tools like Apache Spark and BusinessObjects Technologies to enhance data processing and reporting.<br>• Work with business requirement documents to align GIS solutions with organizational needs.<br>• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for GIS applications and services.

• Proficiency in GIS platforms, especially ArcGIS Portal and Experience Builder.<br>• Experience with web map services, open data environments, and geospatial tools.<br>• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, reporting, and dashboard creation.<br>• Familiarity with Apache Spark, Atlassian Jira, and BusinessObjects Technologies.<br>• Proven ability to perform gap analyses and quality assurance on geospatial data.<br>• Skilled in creating and interpreting business requirement documents.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.<br>• Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a team setting.
