<p><strong>Position: Interim Assistant Controller</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> On-site, 5 days/week, Cambridge/Kitchener </p><p> <strong>Duration:</strong> 3+ months</p><p>Robert Half is seeking an <strong>Interim Assistant Controller</strong> to support the finance team. This role comes at a critical time of year and will play an important part in supporting month-end, budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and year-end activities.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced <strong>Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant</strong> who enjoys a hands-on role and is comfortable supporting both operational accounting and day-to-day finance activities. In addition, this role will have significant involvement with farming operations<strong>, </strong>inventory, biological assets, and inventory/costing flows across multiple barn locations. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>·      Lead month-end close activities for operations</p><p>·      Support AP, AR, costing, and inventory accounting</p><p>·      Assist with annual budgeting and three-year forecasting</p><p>·      Help prepare for preliminary audit work and year-end audit support</p><p>·      Work closely with operational leadership to provide financial reporting and analysis</p><p>·      Provide hands-on support with transactional accounting, including AP coverage as needed</p><p>·      Assist with consolidation of financial information across the business</p><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>·      5+ years of experience as an Assistant Controller or Senior Accountant in a hands-on environment with agriculture, livestock, food production, or manufacturing experience.</p><p>·      Strong operational accounting experience across month-end, AP, AR, costing, and inventory</p><p>·      SAP or large ERP Systems experience preferred</p><p>·      CPA Designation or equivalent</p><p>·      Flexible, team-oriented, and willing to jump in wherever needed</p><p><br></p>
