Payroll Specialist
<p>Our client is seeking a <strong>Payroll Specialist</strong> to join their team on a long-term contract basis in Edmonton, Alberta. This role offers flexible hours and focuses on accurate, timely payroll processing for multiple entities, with opportunities to recommend process improvements.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Process semi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across two entities using Payworks.</li><li>Manage off-cycle payroll for quarterly and biannual bonuses.</li><li>Ensure compliance and accuracy for a workforce of 90 employees.</li><li>Collaborate with the VP during onboarding to learn existing processes.</li><li>Recommend improvements to payroll workflows and efficiency.</li><li>Meet all payroll deadlines while working flexible hours as needed.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality while working remotely with company-provided tools.</li></ul>
