Legal Practice Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated Legal Practice Assistant to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of legal processes and administrative functions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment and has a keen eye for detail.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Identify inefficiencies and recurring challenges, proposing actionable solutions to improve operations.<br>• Handle administrative tasks to alleviate routine work from senior staff and ensure smooth workflows.<br>• Assist in onboarding and training entry level team members by providing clear instructions and verifying task completion.<br>• Manage legal documents by printing, scanning, and organizing materials for easy access and reference.<br>• Prepare and coordinate the mailing or couriering of legal correspondence and closing documents.<br>• Maintain both digital and physical filing systems, ensuring all records are updated and properly organized.<br>• Monitor file-related tasks and follow up to ensure timely progress and completion.<br>• Prepare correspondence and legal documents based on dictation and direct instructions.<br>• Develop and maintain reusable templates to streamline the preparation of frequently issued documents.<br>• Manage incoming communications, schedule appointments, and prioritize inquiries based on urgency and importance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative or clerical roles within a legal setting.<br>• Proficiency in managing filing systems, both digital and physical.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.<br>• Familiarity with preparing legal documents and correspondence.<br>• Competence in basic office and administrative tools.<br>• Experience working in a law office or similar environment where attention to detail is essential.
