<p>Our client is looking for an experienced<strong> Financial Analyst</strong> to join their team on a contract basis in Edmonton, Alberta. The ideal candidate is someone who is analytical, proactive, and experienced in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage month-end close and ensure accurate, timely reporting.</li><li>Analyze, validate, and track financial data for forecasting and budgeting.</li><li>Perform ad-hoc analyses to provide actionable insights.</li><li>Prepare financial reports using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).</li><li>Collaborate with teams to clean and streamline financial data.</li><li>Support long-range financial modeling and validation testing.</li><li>Leverage Power BI and Power Query for data analysis and visualization.</li><li>Assist with administrative tasks and prioritize workflow.</li><li>Contribute to cost analysis and CapEx tracking.</li></ul>
