Receptionist
<p>We are looking for a Receptionist to join a medical office in Delta, British Columbia on a Contract basis. In this front-desk role, you will help create a welcoming experience for patients while supporting daily administrative and appointment coordination activities. This position is well suited to someone who communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-paced setting, and approaches patient interactions with professionalism and empathy. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of a small in-office environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Welcome patients upon arrival, confirm their identity, and support an efficient check-in process for each visit.</p><p>• Review and record health card and related patient information accurately while maintaining confidentiality.</p><p>• Manage incoming calls on a multi-line phone system and assist with appointment booking, rescheduling, and visit confirmations.</p><p>• Provide courteous front-desk support by responding to patient questions and directing inquiries appropriately.</p><p>• Maintain accurate administrative records through timely data entry, file organization, and routine office documentation.</p><p>• Use office software and clinic systems, to support scheduling and correspondence.</p><p>• Coordinate daily reception activities for a busy practice. </p><p>• Assist with general in-office administrative tasks that help the physician and reception function run smoothly.</p>
<p>• At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or administrative support role.</p><p>• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and empathetic approach to patient service.</p><p>• Ability to manage appointments, phone calls, and walk-in interactions with professionalism and attention to detail.</p><p>• Experience with data entry, email communication, and maintaining organized records in an office environment.</p><p>• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.</p><p>• Comfortable learning and using clinic or scheduling software.</p><p>• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a small in-person team.</p>
