<p>We are looking for a talented Java UI Application Developer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions for geophysical data analysis and visualization. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative tools that empower energy professionals to make data-driven decisions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, leveraging advanced technologies to drive impactful results.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and engineers to implement user interface designs using Eclipse tools.</p><p>• Develop and optimize computational algorithms to enhance application performance.</p><p>• Create and maintain both thin and thick client applications that interact with cloud-based microservices.</p><p>• Conduct unit tests, perform code reviews, and ensure the security and quality of software.</p><p>• Present architectural designs and technical solutions to review boards and stakeholders.</p><p>• Support end-users by troubleshooting issues and providing technical expertise.</p><p>• Provide guidance to less experienced developers and contribute to team-wide architectural decisions.</p><p>• Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to deliver functional software components in iterative sprints.</p><p>• Stay updated on new technologies and trends in geophysical computing and software development.</p>

<p>• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geoscience, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.</p><p>• At least 5 years of Java software development experience.</p><p>• Proficiency in Java programming, with additional experience in C++ considered a strong asset.</p><p>• Familiarity with development tools such as GitLab, Eclipse, VS Code, and CI/CD pipelines.</p><p>• Experience with performance tools like VisualVM and Async, and operating systems such as Windows and Linux.</p><p>• Practical knowledge of GitHub Copilot for enhancing coding efficiency.</p><p>• Ability to break down complex development tasks into actionable steps.</p><p>• Self-motivated with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.</p>
