Purchasing Coordinator
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Brantford, Ontario. This is a contract position where you will play a key role in managing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring efficient operations within the purchasing department. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with purchasing activities.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Create, submit, and maintain accurate records for all purchase orders to ensure smooth operations.<br>• Resolve purchasing discrepancies and address any issues with vendors or shipments.<br>• Monitor and trace shipments throughout the delivery process, ensuring deliveries are timely and accurate.<br>• Obtain and review weekly fuel surcharge rates to optimize shipping costs.<br>• Collaborate with the shipping department to confirm delivery completion and address any delivery-related concerns.<br>• Match invoices with purchase orders to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.<br>• Utilize software such as Excel, Outlook, and Dynamics 365 Business Central for purchasing tasks.<br>• Maintain clear communication with vendors and internal teams to support purchasing activities.<br>• Assist in pricing and vendor management to support departmental goals.
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or related functions.<br>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.<br>• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset.<br>• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with vendors.<br>• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing purchase orders and tracking shipments.<br>• Problem-solving skills to address purchasing and delivery issues efficiently.
