Typically, 10-15+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is essential, with a Master's degree or relevant professional accreditation (e.g., APR) highly preferred. A deep understanding of Canadian media landscapes, cultural nuances, and public sentiment is paramount.
