Marketing Coordinator Job Description

Marketing coordinators assist the marketing department with various initiatives and programs. Depending on the company, their responsibilities may include coordinating marketing and community events; assisting with the development, execution and monitoring of email, digital, social media, and content marketing campaigns; creating original content; tracking sales data; and conducting market research. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and project management experience are essential for this role.

Typical marketing coordinator duties:

Collecting, analyzing and summarizing sales data for use in marketing reportsManaging projects for the marketing department, such as maintaining supplies of marketing materials by conducting stock inventory and placing ordersPlanning meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists
