Marketing Automation Specialist Job Description

Marketing automation specialists work closely with designers, developers and project managers to implement programmatic and operational initiatives through a company’s marketing automation platform. Candidates for this role must have strong knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) and database management software and best practices. Marketing automation specialists work with marketing automation and email automation tools and should understand social media marketing. Excellent communication, organizational, project management and critical-thinking skills, as well as a strong attention to detail, are required for this position. Working knowledge of HTML and a bachelor’s degree in marketing or computer science are often preferred.

Creating and executing marketing automation campaigns and workflows across platforms, and testing performanceDistributing findings about campaign performance to the marketing team and recommending strategies for improvement Managing lead generation and lead nurturing, creating lead scoring rules to drive conversations, and handling customer segmentation and targeting
