Strategy Lead
<p><strong>Company Profile </strong><br /><br />Our client is a fast-growing, late-stage AI (Artifical Intelligence) startup company (Series-E, backed by top-tier investors) on a mission to transform how organizations make complex decisions. The business is accelerating its global expansion, particularly across North America and Europe, and seeking to hire one (1) experienced member to its Tokyo-based global strategy office.<br /><br />This remains a confidential search at this stage, and we are working directly with the Global Head of Strategy to introduce a small, carefully selected group of qualified candidates into the interview process.<br /><br /><strong>The Role </strong><br /><br />We are seeking a Strategy Lead to join a team of three and report to Global CSO based in Tokyo. The new hire will manage firm-wide strategic projects (at both the corporate and product-strategy level), including both organic and inorganic (M&A) growth initiatives, with a strong emphasis on global expansion, particularly across the US and Europe.<br /><br />This role partners closely with senior leadership and works across functions to shape long-term strategy, evaluate new opportunities, and support execution in a dynamic, high-growth environment.<br /><br />In this position you will:<br /><br />* Work alongside Global CSO and lead global firm-wide strategic initiatives across growth, product portfolio strategy, market expansion, and overall corporate strategy, with a strong focus on further accelerating expansion across the US, Europe.<br /><br />* Support opportunistic inorganic growth activities overseas (e.g. acqusitions, other equity tie-ups or alliances) including market screening, business case development, DD and M&A-related work.<br /><br />* Work closely with product and business leaders on product-level strategy and prioritization.<br /><br />* Conduct high-impact analyses and develop clear, data-driven recommendations for senior stakeholders.<br /><br />* Act as a strategic bridge between global and local teams.<br /><br />* The role does not manage people directly, but involves signficant stakeholders mangement.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Your Skills </strong><br /><br />* 7-15 years of experience; background in strategy or management consulting at a reputable firm (manager level or equivalent strongly preferred) or startup experience in similar role, or a combination of consulting and startup / high-growth company experience.<br /><br />* Bicultural profile, with dynamic mindset with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
