<p>Robert Half has partnered with a transport services business to recruit for a Compliance &amp; Risk Manager.</p><p><strong>6-month fixed-term contract | £52,000-£56,000 | Hybrid (2 days per week on-site) | Crewe or Derby</strong></p><p>We are seeking an experienced compliance and risk specialist to support the development, coordination and assurance of compliance frameworks across a multi-entity operational environment. The role works closely with senior leaders and group stakeholders, providing expertise across corporate compliance, data protection and risk management.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain and enhance standardised compliance and risk frameworks, ensuring consistent controls and governance across all business units.</li><li>Act as the primary link between Group Compliance and local teams, sharing best practice and escalating issues when required.</li><li>Carry out assurance reviews and support continuous improvement of processes, controls and documentation.</li><li>Lead compliance communications, training materials, e-learning monitoring and responses to employee queries.</li><li>Manage data protection responsibilities, including incident reporting, retention controls and compliance registers.</li><li>Oversee risk register updates, quarterly reporting, governance submissions and audit action tracking.</li><li>Support wider governance and assurance forums, contributing to ICS, risk and audit activities.</li><li>Promote a strong compliance culture across the organisation, with some travel between sites.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant qualification with <strong>3+ years experience</strong> in compliance, risk, audit or governance.</li><li>Strong knowledge of corporate compliance policies and data protection requirements.</li><li>Experience working with risk management frameworks and assurance processes.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information and influence stakeholders.</li><li>Highly organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.</li><li>Strong relationship builder, able to collaborate effectively across functions and locations.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary (£52k-£56k).</li><li>Hybrid working with <strong>2 days per week on-site</strong>.</li><li>Choice of base location: <strong>Crewe or Derby</strong>.</li><li>Opportunity to shape compliance activity within a complex, fast-moving organisation.</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
