Operating across multiple international sites, the company is pursuing a strategy of growth through targeted acquisitions, investing in new capabilities and markets to strengthen its global footprint.This hybrid role combines hands-on financial management, transactional support, and post-acquisition integration, including migration of newly acquired businesses onto the Group's D365 ERP system.<h3 data-end="1404" data-start="1381">Role Overview</h3>The M&A Accountant will play a central role in managing the financial aspects of acquisitions from due diligence through to post-deal integration. Working closely with the Head of Finance, Corporate Development, and Systems teams, you will provide financial analysis, support decision-making, and ensure that newly acquired entities are efficiently transitioned onto group reporting and ERP platforms.This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong, commercially aware accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.<h3 data-start="1974" data-end="2004">Key Responsibilities</h3>Pre-Acquisition:<ul data-start="2029" data-end="2518"><li data-start="2029" data-end="2105">Support all financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and investments.</li><li data-end="2205" data-start="2106">Conduct financial due diligence, performance analysis, and risk evaluation of target companies.</li><li data-end="2320" data-start="2206">Build, review, and interpret complex financial models and forecasts to support valuation and deal structuring.</li><li data-start="2321" data-end="2396">Prepare investment appraisals, board papers, and acquisition proposals.</li><li data-start="2397" data-end="2518">Work collaboratively with external advisors (corporate finance, legal, and tax) throughout the transaction lifecycle.</li></ul>Post-Acquisition Integration:<ul data-start="3259" data-end="3731"><li data-end="2685" data-start="2556">Lead the financial integration of acquired businesses, aligning accounting, reporting, and controls with group standards.</li><li data-end="2825" data-start="2686">Manage the migration of new entities onto the Group's Microsoft D365 ERP system, working closely with finance and IT project teams.</li><li data-start="2826" data-end="2914">Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data during migration and system setup.</li><li data-start="2915" data-end="3013">Standardise chart of accounts, reporting structures, and financial processes across the group.</li><li data-end="3095" data-start="3014">Support testing, validation, and end-user training during ERP implementation.</li><li data-end="3224" data-start="3096">Deliver post-acquisition reporting and performance tracking to ensure synergy delivery and visibility of financial outcomes.</li></ul>Qualifications & Experience<ul data-end="4701" data-start="3776"><li data-end="3841" data-start="3776">Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).</li><li data-start="3842" data-end="3987">Proven experience in M&A, corporate finance, or transaction services, ideally within a multinational or fast-growing environment.</li></ul>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
