<p><strong>Reports To:</strong> Head of Finance</p><p><strong>Direct Reports:</strong> None</p><p><strong>Salary: </strong>Up to £45,000/year</p><p><strong>Working pattern: </strong>Hybrid (3 days required in the office)</p><p>Robert Half is proudly working with an established professional services firm to recruit for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Maintain strong financial controls and assist with process improvements and automation.</li><li>Collaborate with teams across actuarial, underwriting, and claims to interpret financial data.</li><li>Assist in managing insurance accounts, premium taxes, and reinsurance reporting.</li><li>Contribute to year-end audits, statutory reporting, business planning, and regulatory filings.</li><li>Participate in cross-functional projects as a representative of the finance team.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><ul><li>Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).</li><li>Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.</li><li>Proven reconciliation and control environment experience.</li><li>High attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills.</li><li>Effective communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in financial services.</li><li>Understanding of data flow from operational systems to financial statements.</li><li>Experience working in small or multi-functional teams.</li></ul><p>If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please apply today!</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
