Our client is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join their growing team in Toronto, Ontario. Your expertise in Azure cloud services, IT infrastructure, and security management will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and security of the organization's systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting cloud-based applications and services.Key Responsibilities:· Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.· Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures across cloud environments.· Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in Azure environments.· Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and Security teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).· Manage identity and access using Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Conditional Access.· Automate cloud operations using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM/Bicep templates.· Perform regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing.· Stay up to date with the latest Azure features, security threats, and best practices.

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.· 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud engineering.· Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.· Experience with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview.· Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.).· Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).· Knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers in Azure.· Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-500, or SC-200 are highly desirable
