Purchaser
<p>We are looking for a Purchaser to join our client's team in Winnipeg, Manitoba and support the efficient flow of materials and components required for maintenance operations. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, maintains strong accuracy in inventory activities, and can coordinate purchasing, receiving, and shipping tasks with care. The successful candidate will contribute to daily stores operations while helping ensure parts and supplies are available when needed.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage inventory levels for parts and shop materials, placing orders through inventory and ERP systems to maintain appropriate stock.</p><p>• Receive incoming parts and supplies, verify documentation, and record items accurately in approved tracking systems.</p><p>• Prepare and issue materials to active work orders so technicians have the components required for scheduled tasks.</p><p>• Pack parts and components securely for transport, ensuring items are protected and shipment-ready.</p><p>• Arrange outgoing shipments and complete supporting documentation for parts and aircraft components.</p><p>• Enter and maintain purchasing, receiving, shipment, and work order information in company records with a high level of accuracy.</p><p>• Coordinate local pickups and deliveries of materials, parts, and supplies as required for operations.</p><p>• Assist with general stores and purchasing duties that support the service team and overall workflow.</p>
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, stores, or inventory control.<br>• Post-secondary education is required; a college, university, or skilled trades credential is considered an asset.<br>• Aviation industry experience is preferred.<br>• Strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and a consistent focus on safety.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively, manage time effectively, and follow established procedures.<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with experience using ERP or inventory software such as Epicor.<br>• Valid driver's licence and ability to complete required background and criminal record checks.
