  • We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a commercial property management organization in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role offers the opportunity to guide financial operations, support executive decision-making, and strengthen accounting practices within a growing business. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, sound technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to balance strategic insight with day-to-day financial oversight.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct the organization’s complete accounting cycle, ensuring accurate records, timely close processes, and reliable monthly reporting.<br>• Oversee trust accounting activities and maintain compliance with applicable requirements while safeguarding the accuracy of related transactions and balances.<br>• Prepare financial statements, internal management reports, and other analysis to support operational and executive review.<br>• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning to help the business manage resources effectively and plan for future growth.<br>• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance leadership to the accounting team to build capability and maintain high standards.<br>• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and company policies.<br>• Work closely with external accounting partners during year-end activities, including audit preparation, documentation, and follow-up.<br>• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting methods, and overall efficiency as the organization expands.<br>• Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver financial insight that informs business planning, investments, and strategic decisions.<br>• Contribute to additional finance-related initiatives and special projects that support ongoing business development.
