<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Controller – Interim (Contract)</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Kitchener / Waterloo West </p><p><strong>Work Method</strong>: Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote</p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 months; extension possible</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Opportunity:</strong></p><p>A Canadian manufacturing and distribution company seeks a hands-on Controller for an interim engagement. This role will lead accounting operations and mentor a small team during a period of transition and process improvement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee daily accounting operations and cash flow management</li><li>Lead month-end close and general ledger reconciliations</li><li>Prepare and file GST/HST returns</li><li>Guide and support a small accounting team, including junior staff training</li><li>Ensure reporting accuracy through advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, macros)</li><li>Support ERP transition and process improvement initiatives</li><li>Partner with leadership on forecasting and operational accounting</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>CPA or equivalent designation or extensive experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of Canadian indirect tax (GST/HST)</li><li>Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros)</li><li>Experience managing or mentoring small accounting teams</li><li>Manufacturing and cost accounting experience preferred</li><li>ERP experience (SAP, Syspro, M/S Dynamics, JDE, or equivalent)</li></ul><p><strong>Start Date:</strong> Immediate</p><p><br></p><p>Apply now to make an impact and help drive success during a key phase of organizational growth.</p>
