<p>We are looking for a <strong>bilingual Controller</strong> to join our client’s team in Ottawa, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis. This position is suited to a designated accounting specialist who brings strong leadership capability, advanced project accounting expertise, and a hands-on approach to financial oversight. The successful candidate will guide core accounting operations, support accurate reporting, and help strengthen financial processes across the organization.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Lead daily accounting activities while providing direction, coaching, and oversight to finance staff.</p><p>• Manage project accounting processes to ensure costs, revenue, and financial performance are tracked accurately across initiatives.</p><p>• Oversee month-end activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and timely preparation of financial results.</p><p>• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc financial analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.</p><p>• Administer payroll-related financial processes and help maintain accuracy and compliance in associated records.</p><p>• Produce clear and reliable financial reports using accounting systems and reporting tools to support management requirements.</p><p>• Review account balances regularly and resolve discrepancies through detailed reconciliation and follow-up.</p><p>• Support the effective use of financial and business systems, including collaboration with teams when process or system updates affect accounting workflows.</p>

<p><strong>Ideal Qualifications:</strong></p><p>• Accounting designation with a strong foundation in financial management and controllership functions.</p><p>• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.</p><p>• Demonstrated expertise in project accounting within a complex business environment.</p><p>• Fluency in both English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively in a workplace setting.</p><p>• Hands-on experience with accounting software, financial reporting tools, and systems such as ADP, CRM platforms, or similar applications.</p><p>• Strong working knowledge of budgeting, payroll, account reconciliation, and month-end close activities.</p><p>• Proven ability to analyze financial information, prepare ad hoc reporting, and support sound business decisions.</p><p><br></p><p>If this sounds like the role for you, please do not hesitate and apply online today!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Reference Number: </strong>0013538999</p>
