Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex enterprise technology initiatives within a fast-moving wholesale distribution environment in Georgetown, Ontario. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for a hands-on leader who can guide multiple infrastructure projects from planning through execution while keeping schedules, budgets, and delivery standards on track. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders to coordinate resources, manage risk, and drive successful outcomes across a diverse infrastructure portfolio.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct multiple enterprise infrastructure projects at the same time, ensuring objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables remain aligned with business priorities.<br>• Build and maintain detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, resource needs, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.<br>• Lead collaboration across internal departments, vendors, and geographically dispersed teams to keep work progressing efficiently across different locations and time zones.<br>• Oversee project scope, cost estimates, schedules, and contract commitments, taking proactive steps to address delays, budget pressure, and delivery risks.<br>• Provide regular project updates to sponsors and key stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, risks, decisions, and recommended corrective actions.<br>• Secure formal approval for major deliverables and confirm that stakeholder expectations are clearly understood and achieved throughout the project lifecycle.<br>• Chair governance checkpoints and readiness reviews to confirm projects are prepared to advance into the next phase.<br>• Facilitate recurring follow-up meetings to track status, resolve challenges, and maintain visibility into emerging risks and action items.<br>• Support infrastructure transformation initiatives, including cloud migration from on-premise Windows Server environments to Microsoft Azure or comparable platforms, where required.<br>• Promote compliance with established project governance, change management, and organizational delivery practices across all assigned initiatives.
• 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects in enterprise environments.<br>• Demonstrated success delivering at least two end-to-end infrastructure implementations of significant scale and complexity.<br>• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as networking, server platforms, virtualization, lifecycle management, and cloud solutions.<br>• Practical experience leading migrations from on-premise Windows Server environments to Microsoft Azure or similar cloud ecosystems.<br>• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate work with third-party vendors across multiple regions.<br>• Solid command of project management practices, budget control, risk management, and governance-based delivery frameworks.<br>• Proficiency with tools and platforms such as Atlassian Jira, Cisco technologies, CRM systems, ERP environments, and QA management processes.<br>• Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams and drive accountability.
