Leaves Program Advisor
<p>Our client is seeking for a dedicated<strong> Leaves Program Advisor</strong> to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role supports employees and leaders by providing guidance and administration for leave-related matters, ensuring cases are managed accurately, confidentially, and with care. The ideal candidate is an HR professional with experience in leave management who combines empathy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Administer employee leave programs, including medical, disability, parental, personal, and unpaid leaves.</li><li>Act as the primary liaison between employees and third-party leave providers, coordinating documentation, updates, and decisions.</li><li>Advise employees, leaders, and HR on leave eligibility, processes, documentation, and timelines.</li><li>Review leave documentation for compliance with organizational policies and legislative requirements.</li><li>Communicate leave decisions, status updates, and return-to-work information to employees and stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinate with payroll, benefits, and external providers to ensure accurate pay, benefits, and employee records during leave.</li><li>Maintain confidential leave records and monitor cases to ensure timely follow-up, documentation, and issue resolution.</li></ul>
