Payroll Lead
<p>Our client is looking for an experienced <strong>Payroll Lead</strong> to join their team in Calgary, Alberta on a long-term contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a payroll professional with strong technical expertise who can lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensure compliance, and provide guidance in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the full bi-weekly payroll cycle for hourly, salaried, unionized, and non-union employees.</li><li>Provide day-to-day leadership and support across payroll operations, resolving complex payroll issues and promoting best practices.</li><li>Review payroll earnings, deductions, adjustments, and compliance requirements to ensure accurate payroll processing.</li><li>Administer payroll-related benefits activities, including reporting, invoice coordination, and communication with external providers.</li><li>Prepare payroll journal entries and provide payroll information to Finance for reporting and reconciliation.</li><li>Utilize ADP Workforce Now and Crystal Reports to maintain payroll records, investigate discrepancies, and generate payroll reports.</li><li>Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders with professionalism and accuracy.</li><li>Support payroll process improvements and assist with workload demands during peak processing periods.</li><li>Collaborate with teams across multiple locations to ensure consistent payroll practices and compliance.</li></ul><p><br></p>
