<p>Robert Half is partnering with a growing and innovative manufacturing organization to recruit a <strong>Director, Operational Development.</strong> This crucial leadership role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and business transformation initiatives across multiple plant locations and functions across Canada and the US. <strong>Note: this role requires 50% travel in Canada and the US on an ongoing basis.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with senior Operations and Plant leadership to design and implement scalable processes, improve operational performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and hands-on leader who is passionate about optimizing operations, leveraging data, and leading organizational change. Candidates who were manufacturing Controllers and have since evolved into an Operations focused role would be strong candidates for this position</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives and growth plans.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness across the organization.</li><li>Lead process improvement and business transformation initiatives to enhance operational performance.</li><li>Design, optimize, and standardize processes, workflows, and operating frameworks.</li><li>Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance reporting tools.</li><li>Partner with operational and functional leaders to drive accountability and continuous improvement.</li><li>Lead change management initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, systems, and best practices.</li><li>Evaluate and implement technologies, tools, and reporting solutions that improve operational effectiveness.</li><li>Support leadership teams in identifying, tracking, and achieving strategic operational objectives.</li><li>Ensure operational practices align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.</li></ul>

<p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA considered an asset.</li><li>Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in operations, operational excellence, continuous improvement, business transformation, or related leadership roles.</li><li>Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable operational improvements.</li><li>Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.</li><li>Advanced proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is an asset.</li><li>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and drive change in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
