Plant Controller
<p>We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join a manufacturing operation near Kingston, ON. In this role, you will partner with plant leadership to strengthen financial oversight, support operational decision-making, and deliver reliable reporting that drives performance. The position plays a central part in planning, forecasting, cost analysis, and control processes while helping the business improve visibility into key financial and operational trends.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Partner with senior leaders and operating teams to provide financial insight that supports business decisions and performance improvement.</p><p>• Analyze monthly financial results, explain variances, and recommend practical actions to improve profitability, cost management, and overall plant performance.</p><p>• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and mid-range planning activities to ensure financial plans reflect operational goals and business priorities.</p><p>• Build financial models and conduct quantitative analysis to evaluate trends, risks, and opportunities across the plant environment.</p><p>• Prepare journal entries and complete reconciliations for balance sheet accounts to maintain accurate and timely financial records.</p><p>• Produce management reports and presentations at the plant or market level, translating financial data into clear business updates for stakeholders.</p><p>• Maintain strong financial controls and monitor compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.</p><p>• Oversee inventory and fixed asset accounting by reviewing balances, investigating discrepancies, and supporting accurate record-keeping.</p><p>• Promote safe work practices by supporting health, safety, and environmental expectations within all areas of responsibility.</p>
<p>• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.</p><p>• Accounting designation (CPA Canada) required. </p><p>• At least 7 years of progressive financial management experience in increasingly complex, manufacturing environments.</p><p>• Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost control.</p><p>• Experience working with accounting and ERP systems, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.</p><p>• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decisions at multiple levels of the organization.</p><p>• Knowledge of plant operations, inventory, and fixed asset management is considered an asset.</p><p>• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as required.</p><p><br></p><p>Flexible benefits options.
