This role involves a deep understanding of the diverse Canadian media landscape, including traditional, digital, and social channels. The Media Manager crafts effective media strategies, negotiates placements, and analyzes performance data to ensure marketing goals are met efficiently and on budget. They possess excellent negotiation skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to adapt strategies to evolving consumer behaviors. A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. A comprehensive knowledge of Canadian media outlets, regional markets, and regulatory bodies is essential for success in this role.

Typical media manager duties:

Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies and campaign plans across various channels (e.g., TV, radio, print, online, social media).Conduct market research and audience analysis to identify optimal media channels and targeting strategies for the Canadian market.Negotiate and purchase media placements to secure the best rates and value for the brand.Manage media budgets and track spending, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and within financial constraints.Analyze campaign performance data and key metrics to optimize media buys and provide insights for future strategies.Collaborate with creative teams, brand managers, and external agencies to ensure media plans are aligned with creative messaging.Stay current with industry trends, emerging media platforms, and changes in the Canadian media landscape.Prepare and present detailed reports on campaign performance and ROI to stakeholders.
