Director of Finance Job Description

As part of the management team, directors of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical and communication skills. The position generally requires at least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, and public accounting experience is highly valued. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required, and an MBA or certification such as the CPA is preferred.
