They are seeking an experienced and technically strong Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis to support core accounting activities and upcoming audit requirements.<h3 data-start="776" data-end="797">Role Overview</h3>This is a hands-on, technically demanding Financial Accountant role working closely with the wider finance function and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to month-end close activities, assist with audit preparation and execution, and support accurate financial reporting in line with applicable accounting standards.<h3 data-end="1174" data-start="1146">Key Responsibilities</h3><ul data-end="1865" data-start="1175"><li data-end="1276" data-start="1175">Lead and perform accounting tasks ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.</li><li data-end="1357" data-start="1277">Prepare and review key balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.</li><li data-end="1407" data-start="1358">Support month-end and year-end close processes.</li><li data-end="1548" data-start="1408">Assist with the planning and execution of external and internal audits, including preparing audit packs and responding to auditor queries.</li><li data-start="1549" data-end="1648">Ensure compliance with internal policies, group accounting standards, and statutory requirements.</li><li data-start="1649" data-end="1730">Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex accounting issues.</li><li data-start="1731" data-end="1792">Identify improvements in accounting processes and controls.</li><li data-end="1865" data-start="1793">Work collaboratively with internal teams to drive successful outcomes.</li></ul><h3 data-start="1872" data-end="1902">Candidate Requirements</h3>Essential:<ul data-end="2409" data-start="1918"><li data-start="1918" data-end="1979">Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).</li><li data-start="1980" data-end="2043">Strong technical accounting knowledge (e.g., IFRS / UK-GAAP).</li><li data-end="2142" data-start="2044">Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role, preferably within a multinational environment.</li><li data-start="2143" data-end="2235">Audit experience, including direct involvement in audit cycles and liaising with auditors.</li><li data-end="2287" data-start="2236">Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</li><li data-end="2348" data-start="2288">Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li data-end="2409" data-start="2349">Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working independently.</li></ul>Desirable:<ul data-end="2551" data-start="2426"><li data-start="2426" data-end="2485">Prior experience working on interim/contract assignments.</li><li data-end="2551" data-start="2486">ERP or finance system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).</li></ul>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
