Due to an upcoming retirement, our client is seeking a hands‑on <strong>Controller</strong> to lead the financial operations and support the company's continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment—someone flexible, resourceful, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help wherever needed.</p><p><br></p><p>As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, enhance systems and processes, and budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce.</li><li><strong>CPA designation preferred</strong>.</li><li><strong>5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.</strong></li><li>Extensive accounting experience<strong> </strong>within an <strong>owner‑managed business.</strong></li><li><strong>Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience</strong> in a wholesale or distribution environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of ASPE and Canadian financial reporting standards.</li><li>Willingness to pitch in wherever needed.</li><li>Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.</li><li>Proven leadership with a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.</li></ul><p><br></p>
