We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic guidance for our manufacturing facility in Guelph, Ontario. This role involves leading financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and profitability through collaboration with plant leadership and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:• Lead financial planning and analysis for the plant, including monthly reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.• Evaluate manufacturing performance by analyzing production metrics, labour efficiency, yield, and material usage.• Collaborate with plant management to identify opportunities for cost savings and support continuous improvement initiatives.• Present comprehensive financial results to site and corporate leadership, translating financial information into informed insights and offering actionable recommendations.• Maintain accurate standard costs and conduct regular cost reviews to align with operational realities.• Oversee inventory accounting processes, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and analysis of obsolete materials.• Manage budgeting efforts for the plant, working closely with operations and corporate finance teams.• Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements within all plant operations.• Mentor and guide the plant finance team, encouraging attention to detail and high performance.

• Proven experience in financial leadership within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management practices.• Proficiency in accounting software systems, Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.• Familiarity with manufacturing industry standards, particularly in food production or consumer packaged goods.• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial data and metrics.• Strong communication and presentation skills for delivering insights to leadership teams.• Proven ability to translate finance information into actionable insights to guide future business decisions.• Skilled at managing compliance with financial policies and internal controls.• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
