The OpportunityReporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing direct materials while balancing cost, quality, availability and supply risk. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure materials are available when required and that procurement activities support operational and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Source, negotiate and purchase direct materials based on production requirements.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor vendor performance.</li><li>Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery requirements and purchasing agreements.</li><li>Monitor market conditions, commodity pricing and supply trends.</li><li>Identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities.</li><li>Evaluate suppliers and identify alternative sources to mitigate supply risk.</li><li>Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.</li><li>Work closely with production, inventory, logistics and planning teams to ensure supply continuity.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and assist with resolving supply or inventory issues.</li><li>Track supplier performance related to pricing, quality, delivery and responsiveness.</li><li>Support supplier evaluations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Identify and manage procurement, supply and vendor risks.</li><li>Maintain accurate pricing, specifications and supplier information within ERP systems.</li><li>Support procurement policies, procedures and process improvements.</li><li>Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.</li></ul>
