They are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team and support the sourcing and purchasing of materials required for their manufacturing operations.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys supplier relationships, negotiations, market analysis and making purchasing decisions that directly impact business performance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing direct materials while balancing cost, quality, availability and supply risk.</p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure materials are available when required and that procurement activities support operational and financial objectives.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Source, negotiate and purchase direct materials based on production requirements.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor vendor performance.</li><li>Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery requirements and purchasing agreements.</li><li>Monitor market conditions, commodity pricing and supply trends.</li><li>Identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities.</li><li>Evaluate suppliers and identify alternative sources to mitigate supply risk.</li><li>Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.</li><li>Work closely with production, inventory, logistics and planning teams to ensure supply continuity.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and assist with resolving supply or inventory issues.</li><li>Track supplier performance related to pricing, quality, delivery and responsiveness.</li><li>Support supplier evaluations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Identify and manage procurement, supply and vendor risks.</li><li>Maintain accurate pricing, specifications and supplier information within ERP systems.</li><li>Support procurement policies, procedures and process improvements.</li><li>Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
