Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Preparation of financial statements and reporting packages for multiple entities across North America.</li><li>Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting working papers for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.</li><li>Analyze monthly financial results and investigate variances, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations</li><li>Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes</li><li>Support intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations</li><li>Participate in financial reporting and compliance activities</li><li>Assist with internal controls and audit requirements</li><li>Collaborate with finance, operations, and other business stakeholders to support reporting and analysis needs</li><li>Contribute to process improvement initiatives, systems enhancements, and finance transformation projects</li><li>Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as required</li></ul>

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to work on a 3-month contract. Reporting to the VP, Finance, the key responsibilities of the Accounting Manager are: • Lead and oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, revenue recognition, Accounts Payable, cash management, inventory, fund accounting, capital assets, inter-entity accounting and financial reporting.• Manage accurate financial activities and adhere to relevant policies, procedures, accounting standards, and regulations, as well as timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including reconciliations, working papers, allocations, consolidations, and financial analysis.• Provide consolidated and non-consolidated financial information, financial statements, dashboards, and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for Budget Managers, Executives, Finance Committee and Board.• Serve as a strategic finance business partner and collaborate closely with cross functional departments to ensure accurate financial and to support all departmental leaders.• Lead and develop a high-performing Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, business partnerships, collaboration, and continuous learning.• Ensure full compliance with ASNPO, CRA charitable regulations, funder restrictions, BC Housing agreements, and other external stakeholders’ requirements.
