- <p>Our client is looking for a detail-oriented<strong> Trade Compliance Specialist</strong> to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This role supports trade compliance by validating tariff classifications, verifying country of origin, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and knowledgeable in trade compliance, with strong research, communication, and problem-solving skills.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Classify products for customs using technical specifications, drawings, records, and BOMs.</li><li>Determine and verify country of origin in accordance with customs regulations and trade agreements.</li><li>Research and resolve classification, origin, tariff, and trade compliance issues with internal teams, suppliers, and brokers.</li><li>Review and maintain accurate, audit-ready trade compliance data and documentation.</li><li>Assess duties, tariffs, and trade measures to support compliance and cost analysis.</li><li>Maintain supplier certifications and documentation for origin and trade program requirements.</li><li>Respond to customs and broker inquiries along with providing required classification and origin support.</li><li>Track compliance activities and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve trade data and customs issues.</li></ul>
