This is a hybrid opportunity offering the chance to play a critical role in strengthening internal controls, enhancing financial reporting integrity, and supporting global risk initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p>This role is ideal for an accounting or finance professional who is a subject matter expert (SME) in SOX internal controls and audit, with experience in large, complex, publicly traded environments.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The SOX Specialist will lead and manage the company’s SOX compliance framework in alignment with Section 404 requirements. This individual will ensure the design, implementation, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) across all relevant financial cycles.</p><p>The successful candidate will partner closely with internal stakeholders and auditors to ensure ongoing compliance and best-in-class governance practices.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>• Lead the end-to-end SOX compliance program, including planning, scoping, documentation, testing, and remediation.</p><p>• Oversee internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) across all financial cycles (e.g., revenue, procurement, payroll, financial close).</p><p>• Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness; identify deficiencies and drive remediation plans.</p><p>• Coordinate with internal audit and external auditors to support SOX testing and annual compliance requirements.</p><p>• Maintain and enhance control documentation, narratives, risk control matrices (RCMs), and process flowcharts.</p><p>• Monitor and assess global risk areas impacting financial reporting.</p><p>• Provide technical guidance and training to business process owners on control requirements and best practices.</p><p>• Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and strengthen the internal control environment.</p><p>• Stay current with regulatory developments and evolving best practices in SOX compliance and corporate governance.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
