We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will manage a variety of accounting functions related to commercial and retail property management, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic real estate environment through detailed financial reporting and analysis. Responsibilities:• Prepare timely and accurate month-end financial statements, management reports, variance analyses, and account reconciliations.• Handle management fee billings, rent roll billings, tenant chargebacks, and cash flow distributions.• Complete tax filings and remittances, including non-resident tax installments.• Track capital expenditures and collaborate with Property Managers to address monthly variances.• Manage accounts receivable processes and assist Property Managers with tenant inquiries.• Coordinate year-end working papers and liaise with external auditors.• Prepare annual tax recovery reconciliations and tenant billings.• Support Property Managers in developing annual property forecasts and budgets.• Update tenant charges, property recovery matrices, and lease details in Yardi Voyager.• Assist with special projects such as new property setups and property sales.

• A degree or diploma in a related field, preferably with a focus on commerce or accounting.• At least two years of experience in commercial property accounting.• An active CPA designation is an asset• Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and recovery processes.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.• Experience with Yardi Voyager is an asset.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
