Position Summary The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize end-to-end logistics operations including ocean freight, trucking, inventory control, documentation, regulatory compliance, and vendor management. The successful candidate will strengthen international logistics solutions, improve container and freight processes, support facility expansion, and lead a growing team.This role requires both operational depth and strong negotiation capability with external carriers and suppliers. Key Responsibilities 1. International Logistics & Freight Management• Lead ocean freight operations (minimum 7+ years’ experience required)• Oversee container management, load planning, and carrier coordination• Manage trucking operations across Canada and cross-border routes• Implement risk control measures for international shipments• Ensure efficient booking, documentation, and on-time delivery 2. Inventory & Facility Expansion• Manage inventory accuracy across locations (FIFO implementation)• Support and coordinate the setup of new facilities• Improve logistics workflows to support growing business volume• Optimize warehouse and inbound/outbound operations 3. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance• Oversee shipping documentation and export processes• Coordinate regulatory compliance with authorities (e.g., CFIA, USDA)• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of international documentation 4. Vendor & Negotiation Leadership• Negotiate transportation rates and service agreements• Build and manage strong relationships with freight forwarders and carriers• Source and negotiate new supplier partnerships• Drive cost optimization initiatives 5. Team Leadership• Lead a team of 4 (expanding to 6)-1 Coordinator-1 Assistant• Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship• Strengthen collaboration across logistics, operations, and documentation teams• Deliver clear, timely feedback and performance improvements

Ideal Candidate Profile Experience • 7+ years ocean freight experience• Master degree in business, supply chain or related field• Strong container management background• 5+ years in logistics/supply chain leadership• Minimum 4–5 years experience working in Canada• Experience in international supply chain risk control• Experience setting up new facilities or scaling operations• Proficiency in SAP and Office 365 Skills & Attributes • Strong negotiation skills (external-facing strength required)• Solutions-oriented problem solver with quick decision-making ability• Strong communicator with excellent relationship management skills• Commercially savvy and confident in supplier negotiations• Supportive team leader who fosters accountability and collaboration• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment If this sounds like the role is for you, please apply today!
