Management Resources is partnering with a well-established, publicly listed mining company on a 16-month maternity leave opportunity for a finance professional to support reporting, technical accounting, and project-based initiatives. The role is based in downtown Vancouver with a hybrid work model. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support financial reporting and technical accounting projects, including complex transactions and new standard adoption</li><li>Assist with impairment analysis, valuations, and financial modelling (e.g., DCF, key assumptions)</li><li>Contribute to acquisition accounting and integration activities</li><li>Partner cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity</li><li>Support internal controls (SOX) and audit readiness</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, efficiency, and data quality</li><li>Assist with the development of accounting policies, non-IFRS metrics, and broader reporting initiatives</li></ul>

Requirements:<ul><li>CPA (or equivalent) with 5+ years in financial reporting, audit, or technical accounting</li><li>Strong IFRS knowledge and experience in multi-entity environments</li><li>Exposure to financial modelling, controls, and project-based work</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams</li></ul>Nice to Have:<ul><li>Big 4 background and/or mix of public practice + industry</li><li>Experience in large, complex or capital-intensive environments</li><li>BC-based preferred (open to other locations)</li></ul>If you are an experienced accounting and financial professional, please apply to Robert Half Management Resources today.
