<p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Data Engineer to support operational reporting, analytics, and business process improvements within a complex ERP environment. This is an 8-month contract based in North Vancouver, BC, requiring full-time onsite presence.</p><p><br></p><p>The consultant will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable solutions that improve visibility across inventory, procurement, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Gather, document, and validate business and reporting requirements.</li><li>Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improved reporting and automation.</li><li>Design and develop reporting datasets, dashboards, KPI scorecards, and operational reports.</li><li>Extract, transform, and validate data from multiple enterprise systems.</li><li>Build and maintain data models supporting inventory, finance, procurement, and operational reporting.</li><li>Develop advanced Excel, Power Query, and Power BI solutions for end users.</li><li>Create data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data quality and consistency.</li><li>Support user testing, training, and adoption activities.</li><li>Document business rules, process flows, data definitions, and reporting standards.</li><li>Partner with stakeholders to continuously improve reporting usability and business insights.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role.</li><li>Strong SQL and data analysis experience.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, Power Pivot, and complex data models.</li><li>Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.</li><li>Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Dynamics 365, JDE, or similar platforms.</li><li>Strong understanding of business processes related to finance, procurement, inventory, or operations.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul><li>ERP implementation or stabilization initiatives.</li><li>Data integration and ETL processes.</li><li>Budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.</li><li>Manufacturing or industrial environments.</li><li>Experience supporting complex operational reporting programs.</li></ul>
