<p>Our client is looking for an <strong>Intermediate Accountant </strong>to join their team on a long-term contract basis in Calgary, Alberta. This role supports core financial operations, compliance, and reporting, while providing insights to support strategic decision-making. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements and support month-end close and reconciliations.</li><li>Manage cash flow forecasting, loan repayments, drawdowns, and funding reviews.</li><li>Maintain and reconcile general ledger, bank, and credit card accounts.</li><li>Review and approve accounts payable transactions and journal entries.</li><li>Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and internal controls.</li><li>Identify process improvements and automation opportunities using accounting systems.</li><li>Provide financial insights to support planning, cost management, and decision-making.</li></ul>
