Desktop Support Analyst
We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Desktop Support Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Abbotsford, British Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining systems, and ensuring the efficient operation of IT resources. This position requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving IT issues in a dynamic environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Offer Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related peripherals.<br>• Install, configure, and repair operating systems and commonly used software applications.<br>• Troubleshoot and support business applications, collaborating with vendors to resolve issues as needed.<br>• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls through Active Directory and other platforms.<br>• Maintain and update service tickets, ensuring timely responses and detailed documentation.<br>• Handle hardware installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance.<br>• Deploy security patches and software updates to ensure system integrity.<br>• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, configuring devices and accounts for new and departing employees.<br>• Monitor system performance and address issues proactively to minimize disruptions.<br>• Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and industry best practices in all activities.
• Proven experience in desktop support or help desk roles, with a strong customer service focus.<br>• Expertise in Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and other common business software.<br>• Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and basic networking concepts.<br>• Ability to diagnose and resolve both hardware and software issues effectively.<br>• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels.<br>• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.<br>• Knowledge of security measures, including patch management and system updates.<br>• Experience with troubleshooting tools and technologies such as Cisco, Citrix, and Mac systems.
