Community Building: Holiday Giving with Robert Half Canada in 2025

Corporate Culture Inside Robert Half Article
The end of year marks Robert Half’s annual Holiday Giving program, a heartfelt initiative and collective effort from our employees in North America since 2006. Projects typically range from toy, food and clothing drives to bike-building events and adopt-a-family programs. During this year’s holiday season, Robert Half Canada is focusing our fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada (RHMC). Throughout the year, we also support other national non-profits including the Legion National Foundation, the Canadian Mental Health Association, United Way Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, Enactus Canada and Indspire. “This year again has reaffirmed that giving back isn’t just something we do—it’s part of our DNA. It’s woven into our culture, our values, and our everyday actions. Through fundraising and volunteering, we’ve seen firsthand and how direct community involvement builds trust, drives impact, and strengthens the very fabric of the communities we serve,” explains Mike Shekhtman, Senior Regional Director Robert Half Canada.

Ways Robert Half Canada is getting involved

To help meet the needs of our communities, Robert Half established the Round the World Challenge for our employees to give back through volunteering. This annual initiative provides Robert Half employees around the world a meaningful opportunity to support Make-A-Wish International by allowing them to volunteer in their local communities. Since 2021, the annual Round the World Challenge has supported Make-A-Wish International (MAW) in granting life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Since the beginning of our partnership, we have collectively raised more than $1,210,000 USD and supported 148 local causes. Outside of Make A Wish, Robert Half employees can take advantage of our Matching Gifts program to maximize the impact of their donations, fundraising and volunteer time. We provide a 1:1 match for all employee donations up to $1,500 and fundraising efforts and grants of $15 per volunteer hour to eligible charities.

“I am continually impressed by the commitment and passion of all those who participate in the many charity initiatives held across the country. To be able to appreciate the positive impact you are having on the local community while also enjoying the event as a team-building experience with your colleagues is a truly rewarding experience,” shares Derek Wood, Regional Director Robert Half Canada. As one of Forbes’ World’s Best Employers for the fifth year in a row, we are committed to making a positive impact across the world and in our local communities.   Interested in working at our company?
