<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> <strong>Talent Solutions</strong> is currently looking for a <strong>Country Controller Belgium &amp; Luxembourg (m/f/x) </strong>for a permanent position based in the centrum of Brussels.</p><p>Our client is an international company active in the <strong>real estate sector</strong>.</p><p>As <strong>Country Controller Belgium &amp; Luxembourg (m/f/x) </strong>you will be <strong>responsible</strong> for:</p><ul><li>Deliver local and group financial compliance for local statutory and US GAAP accounting books for Belgium and Luxembourg;</li><li>Acting like a business partner to local Finance and non-finance colleagues ;</li><li>External and internal audits oversight ;</li><li>Oversight of preparation of statutory financial statements, VAT, CIT returns ;</li><li>Management review of all accounting activities outsourced to third party provider and review of balance sheet reconciliations ;</li><li>Responsible for accurate, timely monthly closing of the books including review of journals ;</li><li>Responsible for timely production and sign off of all reporting and disclosure requirements ;</li><li>Collaborate effectively with stakeholders producing financial data (input or output), support resolution of issues, queries and escalations ;</li><li>Managing or participating on different local &amp; Global projects ;</li><li>Support plans and drive actions to minimize legal entities and associated compliance costs taking into account legal &amp; commercial needs, cost, risks and cost to achieve.</li></ul><p> The required <strong>profile</strong> for the <strong>Country Controller Belgium &amp; Luxembourg (m/f/x) </strong>position:</p><ul><li>Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position within an international company ;</li><li>Experience in managing month end close process within a BPO / Shared service model ;</li><li>Experience leading local statutory audits and statutory accounts process - audit background and SOX control experience preferred ;</li><li>Knowledge of major ERP systems and HFM ;</li><li>Excellent knowledge of English with a very good knowledge of French or Dutch ;</li><li>Effective communication skills across a range of seniority levels and countries to Finance &amp; non-Finance staff professional services business ;</li><li>Experience leading financial compliance and change in US GAAP &amp; local GAAP environments and IFRS strongly preferred ;</li><li>Demonstrable flexibility to meet competing and evolving business needs and drive for results ;</li><li>Proactive, independent, capacity to prioritise and to meet deadlines.</li></ul><p>What our client <strong>offers</strong> :</p><ul><li>A challenging and versatile position with international contacts ;</li><li>The opportunity to work independently, to take initiative and to grow internally ;</li><li>A competitive salary package with benefits (company car, meal vouchers, health insurance, group insurance, net allowances,…) and possibility to work from home up to 2 days/week ;</li></ul><p> </p><p>Interested in this position of<strong> Country Controller Belgium &amp; Luxembourg (m/f/x)</strong> ?
