A Robert Half survey of Belgian hiring managers and C-Suite leaders reveals how these shifts are changing hiring priorities, reimagining in-demand skills and enhancing AI workforce planning.

AI adoption is driving new hiring needs and pushing companies to rethink workforce planning. Companies are focusing on skills-based hiring and mapping how their existing capabilities stand up against their competency-based recruitment needs.

The data referenced is based on a series of online surveys developed by Robert Half and conducted by an independent research firm across Belgium. In February 2025, Robert Half commissioned research among 100 C-suite leaders. In June, July and November 2025, further surveys were conducted among 500 hiring managers in Belgium. All respondents, except the C-suite leaders, work in finance and accounting, IT and digital, administrative, HR and office support, and legal. Respondents were drawn from SMEs as well as large private, publicly listed and public sector organizations across Belgium.
