- <hr /><h1 id="management-accountant">Management Accountant</h1><p><strong>Parental Leave Contract to July 2027 </strong></p><p>A purpose-driven, not-for-profit organisation is seeking a <strong>CPA-qualified Management Accountant</strong> to join the team on a parental leave contract through to <strong>July 2027</strong>, with flexibility for the right candidate to work between <strong>0.6 FTE and 1.0 FTE</strong>.</p><h2 id="about-the-role">About the role</h2><p>As the <strong>Management Accountant</strong>, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations across the organisation. This position is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting across multiple areas of the business.</p><p>You will work closely with stakeholders, helping to ensure strong financial governance and informed decision-making.</p><h2 id="key-responsibilities">Key responsibilities</h2><p>In this role, you will:</p><ul><li>Prepare month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and income recognition</li><li>Review profit and loss results against budget and undertake trend analysis</li><li>Manage the opening and closing of accounting periods</li><li>Prepare monthly management and board reports</li><li>Coordinate and prepare consolidated budgets and forecasts</li><li>Provide day-to-day support and guidance to budget holders</li><li>Reconcile ledger balances and manage associated cash transactions and invoicing</li><li>Support with financial inputs for project budgets</li><li>Maintain the asset register and complete monthly general ledger reconciliations</li><li>Respond to annual audit queries</li><li>Provide backup support to accounts payable</li></ul><h2 id="about-you">About you</h2><p>This role will suit someone who is detail-focused, analytical and passionate about producing high-quality financial work.
